Jimmy Carr 'A comedy hero for our times' Guardian One of the most original and distinctive stars on television, radio, stage and now the big screen, Jimmy has enjoyed several hugely successful years, with 2007 looking just as exciting. Jimmy's first two DVDs have sold well in excess of 300,000 copies. An all-new stand-up DVD out this Autumn will be packed with lots of original extras that fans have come to expect from Jimmy's DVDs. The main show will be a combination of Jimmy's 2005 'Off The Telly' and 2006 British Comedy Award-winning 'Gag Reflex' shows. Jimmy will be launching an all-new stand-up show at the 2007 Edinburgh Festival, entitled 'Repeat Offender'. Prior to this, Jimmy's fifth series of Channel 4's '8 out of 10 Cats' will be transmitting June and July 2007. With conventional media conquered, Jimmy is also a pioneer of digital comedy, topping the album charts on iTunes and the MySpace comedy rankings, with over 18,000 fans online. He has just become the first major comedian to perform within the online world of Second Life, gaining a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first comedian in cyberspace as a result. If Jimmy Carr can do to a body what he does to a mind, then his girlfriend must be the happiest woman on the planet' Scotsman 'The brightest British comic hope for a long, long while... the most deliciously transgressive comic... he is not so much pushing the boundaries as sailing in uncharted waters... Superb' Irish Times 'A masterclass in comedy... devastating, tasteless two-liners that are bliss to listen to... Carr's persona is irresistible and his wisecracks have you quivering with satisfaction' Guardian 'Edinburgh punters and critics disparage comedy acts with the phrase, 'It's not quite Jimmy Carr, is it?' His exquisitely economical and perfectly-timed one-liners have set the new standard' Daily Telegraph 'As sick as he is slick... and he's very sick indeed' Independent on Sunday 'Jimmy Carr is a world-class comedian... I envy his brilliance with words; if I could be any comedian in Edinburgh, I'd want to be Jimmy Carr... Bloody funny... a comic on top form... this show is unlikely to be improved upon at this year's festival' Independent 'Carr has blossomed into one of the most polished performers in the business' The Independent Click here for contact details for Jimmy Carr |
